ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN PROJECT
Project 1 (Groupwork)
In this group project, we analysed George Town’s urban character through macro- and micro-scale site studies, focusing on Site A, located next to Komtar Walk within the Komtar District. We examined its heritage, spatial structure, movement, climate, and user behaviour through mapping, observation, precedent studies, and impact analysis. Based on our findings, we developed an initial architectural position and programme for an Urban Living Room that strengthens cultural exchange, community interaction, connectivity, and environmental resilience.

Project 2 (Individual)
In these individual projects, I developed and refined the Urban Living Room for Site A from initial design exploration to a fully resolved architectural proposal. Through an iterative process, I explored the project’s concept, programme, spatial organization, form, massing, materiality, structural systems, environmental strategies, fire safety, and architectural detailing using sketches, diagrams, study models, drawings, and visualizations. The final outcome demonstrates a context-responsive civic space that strengthens cultural exchange, public interaction, urban connectivity, and climate resilience within George Town.

IT APPLICATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
Project 1 (Groupwork)
In this group project, we developed a 5-storey green concept office building at Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus using a collaborative Building Information Modelling (BIM) workflow. We worked across architectural, structural, MEP, and sustainability disciplines to develop a LOD 200 Revit model, coordinating design information and conducting energy and clash analysis. The project strengthened our understanding of BIM coordination, multidisciplinary collaboration, sustainable design, and digital project delivery.

Project 2 (Individual)
In this individual project, I evaluated the environmental performance of the office building developed in Assignment 1 using BIM-based simulation tools. Through studies of sun and shadow, solar radiation, daylighting, and wind flow, I identified areas for improvement in the building’s performance. Based on the findings, I developed and compared sustainable design strategies involving orientation, spatial planning, façade design, shading, natural ventilation, and energy efficiency, refining the proposal into a more climate-responsive and sustainable building.

INTEGRATED PROJECT
Project 1 (Groupwork)
In this group project, we developed a complete set of building plan submission drawings based on my Architectural Design V project. We researched and applied UBBL, BOMBA fire safety requirements, statutory regulations, construction systems, and material considerations to translate the design into professional working drawings. The documentation included site and floor plans, sections, elevations, door and window schedules, natural lighting and ventilation calculations, fire protection layouts, and occupant load and fire escape calculations.

Project 2 (Individual)
In this individual project, I developed a Project Proposal Report for my Architectural Design Project, examining the project from an architect’s perspective. The report explored clients and stakeholders, project team roles, project viability, SWOT and PESTLE analysis, project phases, procurement, resource and cost planning, risk and change management, and project scheduling. It also included a reflective component that evaluated key challenges and lessons learned, strengthening my understanding of project management, professional practice, and the architect’s role throughout the building project lifecycle.
