Semester 3
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN III
Project 1 (Groupwork)
This project integrates dance and architecture to create a flagship structure for a pas de deux. We analyse 'Going Home' that fuses traditional Chinese dance with contemporary choreography through ethnographic drawings and translate these into an architectural envelope that embodies movement and materiality. The project emphasises the poetic connection between body, space, and form.
Project 2 (Groupwork)
This project focuses on site research and design exploration in Melaka's reclaimed land near Encore Melaka Theatre. It involves producing a Site Chronicle with research, site data, drawings, and a site model. Tasks include fieldwork, community engagement, environmental studies, and site analysis to capture the site’s essence and inform architectural design.
a) Site Analysis
b) Visceral Board
Project 3 (Individual)
This project involves designing a two-storey dance house near Encore Melaka to preserve and promote Baba Nyonya dance culture. The building includes spaces for dance activities, exhibitions, retail, and public engagement, with a focus on universal design, sustainability, and the site's context. The final design balances practicality with poetic architecture.
1) Presentation Board
Project 1 & 2
These projects involve creating a Revit model of an architectural design, incorporating components such as walls, roofs, and windows, and generating documentation drawings, including two self-created Revit Family components. It also focuses on producing photorealistic exterior and interior renderings using 3DS Max, applying materials, lighting, and camera techniques, with post-production enhancements in Adobe Photoshop.

SUSTAINABLE DESIGN POLICIES & REGULATIONS
Project 1 (Groupwork)
This project involves researching Malaysia's water landscape in groups, focusing on traditional water management. The research explores the environmental impact of water management and sustainability in building design. We analyse data, case studies, and provide a critical reflection on balancing traditional and modern water practices.

Project 2 (Individual)
This project involves analysing how TRX responds to the 11th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). It requires me to visit the building, document its features, and explain how it aligns with the SDG using visuals and diagrams with the goal of understanding architecture's role in sustainability.
